The Planning Inspectorate is a
United Kingdom Government body appointed by The Secretary of State and given power by the

The Planning Inspectorate's main work involves processing of
planning and enforcement appeals and holding
Public Inquiries into matters that affect planning and Highways. They also deal with a wide variety of other planning related casework including
Listed Building Consent appeals,
Advertisement appeals, and reporting on
Planning applications.
